How do I schedule a lesson?

 

1. Create an account

2. Add your riders (anyone who is going to take a lesson!) Please wait for your rider to be assigned a “grade”

3. On the home page click “make a booking”

4. Click on “monthly calendar”

5. Choose your lesson–remember, lesson availability depends on riders eligibility!

6. Click on lesson tag

7. Choose your rider

8. Add to basket

9. Checkout! *Remember that if you would like to cancel, we only offer credit to go towards future lessons!*

 

Can I get a refund for my lessons? 

 

- We do not offer refunds, but if you would like to cancel or reschedule your lesson after you have already purchased it, we do offer account credit or tokens to go towards future lessons!

 

How come even though I have created an account and added my riders, I cannot see my lessons? 

 

- Once you have created your account and added your riders, an admin needs to approve your account first in order to see available lessons! Riders usually get approved once or twice a week, and you should receive an email once you are approved!

 

What is the difference between barn lessons and regular riding lessons and when are they offered?

 

- Our regular riding season is offered Spring - Fall (dates vary) which is when we schedule our normal riding lessons! Remember, if you have not ridden with us before, you will first need to do an evaluation lesson to set your riding grade level.

- Barn lessons are usually held in the Winter. Though there are different types of barn lessons, these can consist of learning ownership skills, group activities, ground work, hippology, and so much more! This is a great way for kids to still get to interact with horses and build their confidence with them, even if they are not on the saddle!

- At Appy Acres we teach horsemanship- not just riding. So you can expect to have barn lessons mixed into the regular riding season. We strive to prepare our students for hopefully owning a horse someday- so we teach all the components that go along with that!
